The proposal was for removal and re-insertion of skylights, replacement of damaged roof sheeting, and internal reconfiguration of the interior of the attic. This area related to two residential subdivisions of the mid-nineteenth century on land granted to William Blue and sub-divided by his son-in-law William Chuter. The area is characterised by dense development with the dominant character of 19th and early 20th century sandstone workers’ and seafarers’ cottages.
