20 Helen Street, Sefton - it's a Rarity in the Bankstown LGA

This cottage had been identified in a 2011 study as being of local heritage significance under heritage criteria. The purpose of the study was to assess the rarity or otherwise of the cottage at 20 Helen Street, Sefton. A literature review was carried out that related to the development of Bankstown and to identify the type of housing that typified the 1920's and 1930's. Informed by this, a survey was undertaken in suburbs where it was thought that similar houses might be located.
