The objective of this Heritage Impact Statement is to examine the impact of the proposed refacing of the existing QBE sign on the heritage significance of the QBE Building, 80-82a Pitt Street, Sydney. The building has historical, aesthetic and social significance and rarity value for the Central Sydney area and for Australia more broadly. The building is associated with the themes of Commerce and Creative Endeavor, as a city office of architectural excellence in the functionalist tradition, build for investment purposes and representing the Art Deco style.
