This Heritage Impact Statement relates to the proposed new Accident-Emergency Unit and Operating Theatres proposed for the Blue Mountains District Anzac Memorial Hospital. The physical development of the hospital has resulted in the renewal and adaptation of facilities since its construction. The history of the physical development of the Anzac Memorial Hospital Katoomba is one of adaptation to the changing needs of the community and to changes in medical technology and philosophies of care.
